While the holidays are exciting and joyful for many, for some of us they can be depressing, especially if someone we love is no longer here. Some ideas to help you follow.
Remind yourself that you'll get through this period and be okay once the season has passed. Make the holidays as cozy and nice for yourself as you can. Even if you are alone plan and do enjoyable events. Wrap up in a blanket and watch old movies. Listen to music. Light candles. You can also surround yourself with ideas that uplift you - start by finding messages that resonate by looking through old magazines or books. Cut out words from the magazines and copy them from the books. Paste or tape them to colored paper. Put the inspirational sayings in strategic places in your home - on the refrigerator, on the mirror by the front door or on the one in the bathroom. When you see each message, stop and read it as if seeing it for the first time. Let yourself feel what the words mean.
Healing affirmations work differently in that they don't rely on messages you see, they are messages you say to yourself and they also inspire you. It's good to keep your favorite affirmations written down so you can refer to them. Remember to use the present participle tense, words ending with an "ing" so your subconscious mind knows this is a quality you want to increase, as in the affirmation "I am becoming more content and peaceful through the holidays." Using "ing" here lets your subconscious know that you want to feel better during the holiday season.
Above all stay positive through the holidays and remember they represent a relatively short period of time. Decide that next year things will be better.

One important aspect of using secrets of quantum physics to manifest what you want is that, while you absolutely need to focus on your desire, you don't want to hold it too tightly. Remember our reality is like a mirage - some people use the word "illusion" but I prefer mirage, like an oasis in the desert. A mirage is a trick of light, it's ethereal, magical.
The idea is to make your desire equally light so it can exist in this mirage. If you put too much weight on it - by making it mean too much to you for example - it won't fit into the mirage that is your reality. It will fall right through if it's too heavy.
Focus on what you want, visualize it, hold it lightly, trust that it will be yours, and keep it light!

What we see with quantum physics is that you get what you focus on, what you choose. When something is out of kilter with your body and you need to take some kind of medication, whether it's allopathic (regular prescriptions or over the counter) or some alternative like homeopathic medicine, you can decide what your results will be - even if the results are not listed on the label!
It's you who will decide that the medicine will work - or that it won't work, depending on what's in your subconscious mind.
Before you take any medication, then, think about how much you want to be healed of your malady. Decide that this medication is exactly what you need, and remind yourself each time you take it that it's going to solve whatever health problem you have.
It's your reality and your choice to allow this medication to cure you that will allow it to work. Always remember that the decision is up to you alone, regardless of what you're told, what the statistics say or what anyone else's experience is.
It's your choice.

What better gift can you give someone than the gift of hope? At this time of global economic upheaval, we need to stay positive. It's not about just saying the words - at the subatomic level, whatever we focus on is what we create, so therefore it is imperative that we genuinely hold onto positive thoughts and feelings, and that we hope for a great outcome. Hope is that blending of optimism, trust and expectation that generates its own energy. No matter how bleak things may look at the moment, remember that everything can change in a flash - quantum physics shows us that change happens in an instant - so we need to trust all will be well and to expect it.
It's also important to keep beauty in your life, even if you have to cut back to the bare essentials. Find some way to provide something non-essential - flowers or even something you make. Surround yourself with messages that you are deserving of nice things and that the future is bright. Those are the messages you want to give your subconscious mind, especially when times are tight, because what's in your subconscious mind is what will manifest in your life.

Self esteem is about love - love you have for yourself, based on your deeds and accomplishments. If your self esteem needs a boost, you might want to make a list of what you have achieved in your life. Don't think about times when you've failed - failures only mean you didn't succeed at some particular task ... they don't mean you ARE a failure. Focus instead on those areas where you have completed tasks, where you were able to pull it off, when you did what you wanted to do.
Although you might be at a low point today, you have succeeded at something before. Start with the basics. Did you make your bed this morning? Put that down. Have you ever taken any classes, or graduated from school? Put that down. Have you ever learned how to make a decent cup of coffee or boil an egg? Do you smile at strangers? Are you kind to animals?
If you feel you are starting from scratch, recognize it's probably not entirely true. Feelings are not the same as facts. Stick to the facts and list everything you can think of, everything you've done recently or a while ago. Write as many tasks and undertakings you can think of. When you've finished writing read the list aloud to yourself. If you're still having trouble appreciating your own successes, pretend you are thinking about someone else - instead of saying I did this, say "he" or "she." Read the list, recognize you have value and own it!

You may have heard the phrase "the more gratitude you feel, the more you'll have to be grateful for," and quantum physics absolutely supports this concept!
With our ever increasing understanding of how the world works at the subatomic level, we know that whatever we concentrate on - what we pay attention to - will become evident in our lives. So the more you experience genuine gratitude, the more that feeling, and the corresponding state of being that is gratitude, will appear in your life. The magical thing about it, though, is that gratitude can never be a mere task to check off on your To Do list. It's not about just saying the words - and certainly no one would ever want to claim to feel gratitude as part of a plan to get more, more, more, in some sort of a tit-for-tat exchange!
Gratitude is a beautiful energy that comes from the heart. It's genuine. Feeling gratitude is truly appreciating what you have been given: your life itself, health, loved ones, pets, job, talents and abilities, home and whatever else you have. Without that genuine focus on appreciation, the saying won't work, either. When you honestly value what you have, the gratitude energy concentrates ... and you will, indeed have more to appreciate.

When people learn about visualization, meditation and affirmations, some think, "Oh great! I can just sit here doing nothing, and if I visualize what I want, it will happen. I don't have to do anything but picture what I want, think positive, and I'll get it."
Wrong! All the meditative techniques in the world won't help you if that's all you do. Since you are in the physical world, you have to take action in addition to and in support of visualizing. If you want to be elected to public office, for example, you have to get your name on the ballot! You can't just sit around the house picturing yourself being sworn in - that won't work.
While meditative techniques absolutely succeed - and quantum physics demonstrates how and why they work - you have to participate, too, in a real way.
Visualization makes everything go smoothly and you also need to do your part, as well. Demonstrate (to yourself) that you're committed by taking action: make that call about the job, don't just think they'll telepathically know you're interested.
To cover all your bases, it's best to use a combination - visualization, affirmations and taking action!

Why should you spend $14.95 on my book, or anything else for that matter, when you're worried about paying bills? Maybe because it's you want to change your life, you want the support of a new way to look at reality, and a step by step process to make your life better resonates with you.
While it's so much easier to go along with the messages we are hearing every day - messages about recession, layoffs and lost jobs, foreclosures and a bleak global financial outlook - the secret is to make your own decision. Choose the way your own finances will look.
Remember you truly are creating your reality ... and that means you can change it. You don't need to shoulder the responsibility of turning the whole world's economy upside down. In your reality you only need to focus on having more than enough money for everything you need and want - and you don't want just enough to pay bills, you want to be able to have dinner out, buy something new, get a gift for a loved one or have your hair done.
Your not buying into the fearful and gloomy predictions will have an impact, so don't adopt that "scarcity" thinking, regardless of what you hear on the news! When the anchor makes those dire predictions about recession, say "Cancel, cancel" and don't allow the anchor's words to become part of the template for your life. Instead, honestly decide that - no matter how it looks on the news or elsewhere - everything will be just fine and that you'll have more than enough money to purchase whatever you need.
Trust that you will succeed in creating a great new financial reality for yourself, your loved ones and the rest of the world.

Recently I've posted messages on a number of social media sites and here - in my own blog - about the exciting mysteries of quantum physics and how they can work in your life.
While many people embrace these ideas, there are quite a few who either dismiss them out of hand or else make it clear they find these ideas frightening, or at least a challenge to what they think is correct. It is scary to change beliefs you've held for a lifetime, and it can be overwhelming to realize that you are completely accountable for whatever happens in your life and, at some level, your entire world. Some people don't want to take on that much responsibility! These people might even use the "secret" Law of Attraction - to get parking spaces or other manifestations that don't conflict with what's in their subconscious minds.
And yet it's responsibility that provides the greatest freedom you can have: If only you are responsible for something, then only you can change it!
For those who get this point, congratulations - you are stepping outside the norm, you're willing to embrace a concept that scares many people and inspires them to disparage you for your beliefs. If you are willing to accept the responsibility for your life that quantum physics demonstrates is yours, you are empowered to make whatever changes you want.
You're even powerful enough to create a whole new reality in which all your dreams come true!

Now that Barak Obama has been elected President in the United States, people suddenly feel the need to reel in their hopes and diminish their expectations.
"He can't accomplish everything," they think, considering all the challenges Barak Obama faces as he takes over.
Quantum physics shows us that we create our realities as we observe or experience them, and that what you focus on is what you get. When you expect something you focus on it ... and therefore that is what you will create. So it's important to keep your expectations high, and always expect the best! Your hopes and dreams help you stay on focus, so they are essential - it's important to hold them close to your heart.
When you lower your expectations you are only trying to protect yourself from disappointment - and it doesn't work, anyway. Truthfully, won't you be disappointed if what you want doesn't happen? Of course you will - because it's not possible to truly avoid disappointment.
We succeeded in electing Barak by keeping high our hopes, dreams and expectations. Now we need to keep doing that same thing - we can see it's working! It's time to keep our expectations high - each of us with a slightly different focus, based on the issues we each care most about. It's our very expectations that will energize our focus and help us create the successful, peaceful world we've dreamed about.
